Embodied Teaching: Special Online Study Group with Lisa Clark
Developmental Movement: Sequencing For Yoga
Based on human Developmental Movement the Basic Neurocellular Patterns explore the origins of movement to present. Revisiting the patterns opens new pathways of alignment, strength, and connectivity throughout the body. They can be a foundation for building safe integrated asana sequences that support a three dimensional sense of self in relationship with gravity and space.
Classes will explore different asana sequences based on the neurocellular patterns that help to build and support the following relationships:
Limb and spine integration
Head to tail axis
Lateral sidedness
Cross lateral movement
Rotation and spirals
Center to periphery
Whole body global continuity
Fluid mobilization and strength
A balance of rest and activity
The series is recommended for those who are interested in Developmental Movement principles as a basis for the teaching and practice of yoga. It is a wonderful opportunity to explore a more organic approach to movement, that supports more easeful connections and a fuller sense of self. Classes will be interactive, based on shared inquiry and exploration.
Classes are presented livestream on zoom, recorded, and added to your online series library. You have the option to attend live and / or watch the recordings on your own timeline. With life time access you can watch them as often as you wish.
